Struts Misconfiguration: Missing Forward Name

Java/JSP

Abstract

A <forward> tag with a missing name attribute often indicates leftover debug code or a typographical error.

Explanation

A <forward> tag must have name and path attributes. Without a name, the forward will never be used.

Example 1: The following <forward> tag has an empty name attribute.


    <forward name="" path="/results.jsp"/>
